My Story — From a Dream to Toronto's Lash Industry
I'm Yana Azmanova — a lash artist, trainer, and entrepreneur serving Toronto's diverse community from my North York studio.
Where It All Began
My journey into the lash industry began long before I opened my studio in Toronto. Growing up in Eastern Europe, I was always drawn to beauty and artistry. I trained under some of the best lash masters in the region, perfecting techniques that are still rare in North America — particularly Russian volume and handmade fan methods that produce stunning yet lightweight results.
When I moved to Canada, I saw an incredible opportunity. Toronto is one of the most multicultural cities in the world, with a thriving Eastern European community that deserved a lash artist who truly understood their beauty preferences and could communicate in their language. I didn't just want to do lashes — I wanted to build something meaningful. A studio where every client feels understood. An academy where aspiring artists get the real, hands-on training they deserve. A supply store where professionals can trust every product because I use them myself daily.
My Philosophy
I believe lash extensions should enhance your natural beauty, not overpower it. When you sit in my chair, you get my honest opinion. If classic lashes will give you the look you want, I'll tell you that — even if volume costs more. Every set I create is customized to your eye shape, facial features, and lifestyle. I never rush, and I never compromise on quality.
The same philosophy extends to my academy. I keep class sizes small — maximum 4 students — because I believe real learning happens with personal attention. My students don't just learn technique; they learn how to build a business, price their services, market themselves, and create a career that can earn $50K to $100K+ per year.
Three Languages, One Passion
I'm fluent in English, Russian, and Ukrainian. All my services — studio appointments, training courses, and consultations — are available in all three languages. This isn't just a convenience; it's a core part of who I am and how I serve Toronto's beautifully diverse community.
